You’ll be joining a growing business where new customer opportunities are currently at the highest we’ve seen. Forecasts are strong going into 2024 and beyond across our core propositions, supported by a reimagining of our sales journey and underpinned by a significant digital transformation investment.

We are looking for the Financial Controller to lead the finance function internally and ensure the department runs efficiently, as well as being able to scale up as the business grows.

This is a key hire for our business and the successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director as well as managing key relationships both internally and externally.

The role offers scope for progression and the successful candidate has the chance to really build out the finance function as the business grows. The position would suit a commercially driven finance professional who can bring new ideas to the business.

What you’ll do

A wide range of duties from board reporting to routine transactions
Production of accurate and timely management accounts to monitor
Maintain financial forecasts and supporting board discussion around potential scenarios
Working with colleagues to identify, implement and document processes that are key to company efficiency and scalability
Introduce and maintain financial quality control over operational activities
Raising customer invoices for a range of revenue streams including vehicle leasing commissions, short term car rental and recharging costs
Posting supplier invoices – both cost of sales and overheads – and coordinating approval by relevant managers
Work with the senior leadership team on the continual process of the businesses strategic plan to ensure the financials align with the business goals
Managing supplier invoices due for payment
VAT returns and other HMRC reporting
Manage compliance and ensure high-quality standards
Other reasonable finance and office tasks as required

What you’ll bring

A close alignment with our company values: optimistic, trusted, and knowledgeable
Experience of both Xero and Salesforce would be highly beneficial
Experience of managing accounts receivable including direct contact to resolve issues
Experience working with and managing relationships with Senior and C Suite Stakeholders
The ability to distil information accurately from multiple sources
The confidence to recommend and implement process change
A key focus on accuracy and attention to detail, which are viewed as more important than speed with the business
A self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised
Non-standard VAT rates apply to some transactions and relevant experience would be helpful but not essential
Due to some the sensitive nature of some aspects of the financials within the business, a high level of discretion is requested

Digital sales executive

As a result, we need to bring some fresh talent into our sales team, looking for confident, highly personable people who are ready to build relationships with our prospective customers either digitally or over the phone.

By combining phone calls, emails, and social selling through LinkedIn, you’ll be the face of our business, diligently working to identify stakeholders, understand their business, and help them recognise how we can make a positive difference to their company.

The use of social media, specifically LinkedIn Sales Navigator, will be crucial as a primary means of identifying, researching, contacting, and nurturing multiple decision-makers within target companies.

Experience in our sector is not essential; we want to meet people who enjoy working in a team, supporting customers with solutions to their problems, have a passion for sales and aspirations to develop a successful career.

What you’ll do

Be likeable, able to confidently build relationships with prospective customers over digital channels.
Identify and develop new sales opportunities using a combined phone, email and LinkedIn approach.
Work to attainable but stretchy targets, where you’ll be supported all the way with coaching and mentoring
Have a focus on your core KPIs – booking meetings and sub-set of sales-related KPI
Work with data to build a picture of new business opportunities.
Take advantage of our vast array of sales enablement assets to educate prospects and guide them along the Gofor sales journey.
Build and leverage your LinkedIn profile to showcase Gofor, our key propositions and relevant industry stories and developments.
